Come and Sit a Spell- Paper Shelter Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Today begins another great challenge at The Paper Shelter. This week's challenge is PUNCH IT! For your project, we ask that you use punches -border, shaped, you name it, as long as you use a punch!
The Paper Shelter offers such awesome prizes to challenge winners - this week Veronica and Pedro are offering you a prize of $30 Gift Certificate to spend on their website, as long as you have used one of  The Paper Shelter images on your card, but even if you use another image, you can win 3 digi images of your choice! You will have from now until Tuesday, September 18th to complete this challenge, upload your project,  and post a direct link to the challenge on your blog!

For this challenge I selected "Adorable Little Devil".  I thought it fitting to choose her as Fall is beginning, and Halloween is right around the corner. Now, this little devil came already colored!  As you know, when you purchase a digi from the Paper Shelter, you get TWO outline stamps in both JPEG and PNG formats for you to merge with other digis or color in your choice of mediums, TWO colored digis in JPEG and PNG format ready to print or merge with other stamps, background paper and background paper with the colored image! Check it out HERE. You can't beat that, and if your coloring isn't happening that day, or when you want to create a card quickly or focus more on card design or embellishments, the colored, ready-to-use stamps are a neat option!
As I said, this "Little Devil" was already colored.  I copied and pasted her in a Word document, just as I would an outline image, and then sized her to the size I wanted. Then "voila" - I printed her out on Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock using a color inkjet printer. I just purchased this digi paper and I love it for printing out digi  images like this.  I trimmed the image to offset her a bit to the left. Sometimes images look better off to one side or the other rather than centered.  Then the fun began... .
I did not know if I wanted to add a sentiment or image to the upper right hand corner and I ended up stamping a spider web (Great Impression Stamps) off the page and embellishing it with glitter.  Then, I matted the image. I added background and grounding with Pebbles Iridescent chalk in gray, black and deep blue.  I glittered her little horns, and fishnet stockings along with her tail and pitchfork!  The pumpkin also got a dose of Stickles!
Now since this challenge is about punches, I added a spider web border (Martha Stewart border punch), some bats (Martha Stewart punch) whose eyes were made with a fine point paint pen, and both the oval and scallop oval punches (Stampin Up) for the sentiment.  The design paper is from Authentique (love it) and the cardstock from Bazzill.  Red crystals, black pearls and black glitter ribbon from my stash! Easy peasy and so very cute for that big or little trick or treater!
Why not hop over to the Paper Shelter blog to see how the DESIGN TEAM "punched up" their projects!  Have a great day and hope to see your projects in this week's challenge.  Thanks always for your kind comments.
