Ribbon and Lace- Crafts and Me Challenge

Ribbons and Lace

    You know with all the beautiful lace, ribbon, crinkled seam binding and lovely bling on a roll, I knew we would get to see some fabulous creations, so hopefully we will see yours there!  In addition to our Top 3 awards, one randomly selected winner will receive a lovely assortment of blue ribbons from Crafty Ribbons.

      For my card, I was invited to use a new stamp by Zindy Nelson called "Unleash the Butterflies". Actually all my teamies used Zindy's stamps, which are new to the store, so head over to see their creations HERE.  

     The image is colored with copic markers.. I swear her eyeshadow is not that bright.  My photo tent light broke and until Amazon sends me another, I had to use a table lamp which just lit her up. The photo below is truer to the real thing...  I did have fun coloring the butterflies.. I tried to make them look like real ones and I will be playing with that again.  I spilled some darker copic refill ink on her arm after I colored her and the side of her arm made is a bit blotchy!  :(  Don't you just hate that, especially when you are all done coloring an image?  It teaches me never to refill a marker OVER my just colored image! 

      The design papers are from Prima called "Sunrise Sunset" and they are gorgeous...just what the name says it is!  The cardstock is Tim Holtz Distress cardstock in Brushed Courduroy.  I also distressed the image and dp with both Brushed Courduroy and Peeled Paint distress inks as well.

      As for my "ribbon and lace"... well, if you could see the dp up close, you would see that the entire paper is filled with lace images, but I did not cheat.... I did include the crochet lace ribbon with little crystals, from Live and Love Crafts, underneath the image. I also used ribbon roses in a pretty golden yellow along side the image.  The black die cut butterflies are from an ETSY store, 42 Things. The fern die is from Marianne Creatables.
